Sleep Foundation menjabarkan beberapa tanda yang mengindikasikan kualitas tidur kita buruk, yaitu:
-butuh waktu kurang lebih 30 menit untuk bisa terlelap di kasur
-terbangun sekali atau dua kali setiap malam saat tidur
-tidak bisa langsung tidur setelah terbangun, biasanya butuh waktu sekitar 20 menit
Jika mengalami beberapa gejala tersebut, bisa jadi seseorang mengalami insomnia.
Semakin parah insomnia seseorang maka harus dikonsultasikan dengan ahli medis untuk perawatannya.
Namun jika masih dalam batas ringan, mungkin bisa mencoba beberapa tips berikut ini.
Untuk memperbaiki kualitas tidur, Sleep Foundation menawarkan beberapa cara:
-matikan televisi atau gadget minimal 30 menit sebelum tidur. Cahaya biru yang terpancar bisa mempersulit seseorang untuk tidur.
-biasakan memiliki jadwal tidur. Konsisten mengikuti jam tidur akan meningkatkan kualitas tidur seseorang.
-lakukan kegiatan relaksasi sebelum naik ke tempat tidur seperti mandi atau membaca buku
